Louis “Lou” Betti

Lou Betti was born in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, the son of Gene and Lea Betti. He married Bertha Mae Szakal in 1963 in Chicago. Lou graduated from DePaul University and worked in manufacturing and construction. He served in the Army Reserves for six years. He had worked as a plant manager for Pines Trailer and later purchased Jensen Construction from which he retired. Lou was active in the Kiwanis Club of Kewanee where he had served as president and on various committees and served on the board of the Knights of Columbus and was a 4th degree Knight. He also served on the Kewanee Economic Development Corp., the United Way Board, and was president of the Courtyard Village Homeowners Association for several years. He was a member of Saint John Paul II Parish and was involved in its Capital Campaign Fundraiser.
